Kiawah photos

Kiawah Island SC

What a great day.  I returned to the Charleston area for a men's conference I attend every year.  I was able to spend the day with some friends.  Early morning I rode up to visit Jeff, whom I traded a canvas print of one of my photos for a badly needed haircut.  Jeff is a transplant to Mount Pleasant from West Virginia, and he has framed canvas photos of mine for sale on his wall.  Jeff had lost his voice due to a recent bout with a virus, so it was a unique experience watching the usually very conversant Jeff trying to both cut hair and write comments on a note-pad.

Later, along with a good friend Mike handles surgical research at MUSC I was able to visit Rusty and about ten of his new staff at his new clinic, ready to open in a few weeks.  I had a few framed photos in a restaurant that had not sold that I was able to give him for the walls of the new clinic.

Then we wrapped up the day visiting with Muni and Mary Beth Natarajan.  I wrote an article on Muni a few weeks back that you can see on the main blog.  He is a fascinating man - almost 4 decades spent at a Buddhist Monastery and now is a highly regarded spiritual teacher and author.

Then the day wrapped up with a visit to a dear friend named Carol, who is one of the most spiritual people I know.

This weekend I am just going to relax at the men's conference.  I have an incredibly busy week next week with interviews for articles and a trip for several days to Daufuskie Island, with several more articles to write there.

All have a great weekend - I will sign back on Sunday.

Warmest
David
